GAS SERVICE CALLS
The Westfield Gas and Electric services calls to our customers relating to their gas service up to the gas meter of the house, and any gas fired appliance within the house. All inside piping & non-gas fired appliances are the responsibility of the customer.
We service calls to our customers after normal working hours when one or more of the following conditions exist:
- Inside gas ordor report
- Outside gas odor complaints at meter locations
- Carbon monoxide alarms or complaints
- Structure fires
- High or low gas pressure
- Emergency service for gas fired appliances and equipment (heating equipment, water heaters, ranges, dryers, etc.)
We do not service the following: humidifiers, oil burners, rooftop or raised units, commercial or industrial equipment. We do not stock circuit boards, perform plumbing services, or offer service contracts.
Gas Service Call Charges:
There will be no charge for any call that is found to be a fault within the Department's distribution system. All other charges shall be as follows:
| Service calls of only inside or outside gas odor, cabon monoxide alarms, or defective WG&E-owned equipment | No charge. |

$30 up to one hour / $15 per each addt'l half hour or fraction thereof. |
| All other times | $45 up to one hour / $22.50 per each addt'l half hour or fraction thereof. |
| Senior Citizens (65 & older) | 50% discount on labor only during covered hours. Parts charged at normal rate. |

7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Mon through Fri, Oct 1st through Mar 31st (Non-holidays)
7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mon through Fri, Apr 1st through Sep 30th (Non-holidays) |
Customers with accounts ninety (90) days past due shall be refused service calls except for those emergency services described above: inside or outside gas odor, carbon monoxide alarms, structure fires, high or low gas pressure, emergency service for gas fired appliances & equipment, or defective WG&E-owned equipment.
ELECTRIC SERVICE CALLS
The Westfield Gas and Electric services calls to our customers relating to their electric service up to the service connections of a house for overhead service, and up to the meter for underground service. All equipment beyond the service connections (except the meter) is the responsibility of the customer.
We service calls to our customers after normal working hours when one or more of the following conditions exist:
- Wire down
- Pole or wire burning or sparking
- Branch on primaries
- Broken pole
- No power or half power
- Other potentially hazardous conditions
Electric Service Call Charges:
There will be no charge for any call that is found to be a fault within the Department's distribution system. All other charges shall be as follows:

| Multiple service calls to the same location |
$45 up to one hour / $22.50 per addt'l half hour or fraction thereof. (Charged at the discretion of the Operation Superintendent.) |
