Energy efficiency is the most cost-effective green resource available to utilities and customers. Westfield Gas & Electric is pleased to announce the launch of our Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Pilot Programs, designed to benefit local commerical and industrial customers. Interested customers are encouraged to review the program summaries and complete an application form. Medium and Large Commercial/Industrial Retrofit Pilot Program
Eligible commercial and industrial customers with a single month energy consumption greater than or equal to 4,000 kWh may be eligible to receive incentives for making energy efficiency improvements. Complete and submit an application to sign up for a co-funded comprehensive energy audit of your facility that includes an analysis of baseline energy usage, identification of energy efficiency opportunities, projected energy savings, and installation costs. Energy audits will be conducted between July 1, 2010 and November 1, 2010, after which all identified energy efficiency opportunities will be reviewed and incentives will be offered for select opportunities.

Small Commercial & Industrial Direct Install Pilot Program
This accelerated program is designed for eligible non-residential customers with a single month energy consumption of less than 4,000 kWh. Complete and submit an application to sign up for a co-funded energy audit targeting the mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems, as well as any other areas of particular interest. Incentives are available to cover 50% of approved project costs up to a maximum of $5,000 per project. There is no waiting period for installation of measures following these audits.

Commercial & Industrial New Construction and Lost Opportunity Pilot Program
Non-residential customers planning new construction or major renovations projects are eligible to receive technical assistance and incentives towards the incremental costs of installing premium efficiency equipment. Projects involving the end-of-life replacement of equipment are also eligible for incentives under this program towards the incremental costs of installing highly efficient equipment. Technical Assistance Programs
As part of our pilot initiative, Westfield Gas & Electric is offering targeted technical assistance for customers interested in renewable energy and demand response options. Customers interested in renewable energy can have preliminary assessments conducted as part of this initiative to evaluate opportunities and economic considerations. Customers interested in evaluating demand response options will be placed in contact with CPOWER, a program partner specializing in that area.
