Outage Alerts

WG+E has launched two more tools from the Outage Tracker system, a two-way texting option and a custom WG+E mobile app. Customers are encouraged to try both of these options but should be aware that they will receive duplicate messages if registered for both at the same time.

Two-Way Texting

To register your cell phone you’ll need the first SIX digits of your account number—click here.

  • Simply text OUT if the power is out at your home and we will make sure it gets addressed (standard text rates will apply).
  • Customers who have opted-out, can opt-in again at anytime by texting WGE to (888) 525-1834.

Mobile App

Download the app to your Apple or Android phone and then register your address using your account number.

  • An outage map in the app displays any current issues and estimated restoration time, if available.
