Spring is just around the corner, and there is no better time to switch to battery-powered lawn equipment. Westfield Gas + Electric is pleased to announce increased rebates on battery-powered lawn equipment, making it easier and more affordable than ever for customers to go electric in the yard.
Whether you’re in the market for a new riding lawn mower, a push mower, or handy tools like a leaf blower or hedge trimmer, WG+E has a rebate to help you dig in and save.
“We’re excited to offer these increased rebates just in time for Spring,” said Tom Flaherty, General Manager. “Switching to battery-powered lawn equipment is great for the environment, reduces noise in neighborhoods, and now it’s even more affordable. We encourage all our customers to take advantage of these savings before the limited-time offers expire.”
Applying for the rebate is easy. WG+E customers can visit https://www.wgeld.org/form-pages/electric-yard-equipment-rebates/ to submit their rebate application online. Proof of purchase will be required. Rebates are available to residential WG+E customers who purchase qualifying new battery-powered equipment.
The increased rebate of up to $100 for miscellaneous electric yard equipment is only available through May 31, 2026. After that date, the rebate reverts to $50. The increased rebates for riding mowers and push mowers (up to $300) are permanent, so customers can plan their spring and summer purchases with confidence. As an added incentive, from January 1, 2026, through May 31, 2026, customers can submit up to three (3) rebates during this period, up from the previous limit of two (2) rebates per calendar year. Each rebate submitted is entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $250 gift card to either Rocky’s or The Home Depot. Now is the perfect time to go electric and make the most of these savings!
