Today we’ve heard that some customers are receiving phone calls which suggest they are from WG+E. They are indicating that a payment is required on a customer meter and asking to meet somewhere to make payment.

Please know that these calls are not from WG+E. Our representatives would never ask you to make a payment outside of the office. If you receive a call which doesn’t seem right, please feel free to contact us. Some scammers are savvy enough to spoof our number so do not rely on caller ID. In addition, email messages from WG+E will always be clearly marked with our logo and contact information. When in doubt, please call our customer service team at 413-572-0100.
